TEAM UP Scaling and Sustainability Center Partners with The Carmel Hill Fund
The TEAM UP Scaling and Sustainability Center (TEAM UP Center) is proud to announce our new partnership with The Carmel Hill Fund. As a private foundation, The Carmel Hill Fund is focused on helping young people, especially those growing up in vulnerable circumstances, become voracious readers who also have the skills, relationships, nurturing environments, and supports to become emotionally thriving adults.
With this new partnership, the TEAM UP Center will explore opportunities to advance behavioral health services in New York City (NYC) by completing a practice-level needs assessment coupled with a system-level landscape analysis. The project is designed to develop a comprehensive understanding of the NYC environment and potential opportunities for TEAM UP to contribute to the city’s response to the children’s mental health crisis. The work will culminate in the creation of an NYC TEAM UP Roadmap, a set of recommendations on how best to promote comprehensive, integrated behavioral health models like TEAM UP within the city. The Roadmap will be used to engage a coalition of partners interested in improving access to quality behavioral health services. This project is undertaken with generous support from The Carmel Hill Fund.
“Children – particularly in structurally marginalized communities – face significant barriers in accessing mental health services, which has only worsened during the current mental health crisis,” said Anita Morris, MSN, FNP-BC, executive director of TEAM UP Scaling and Sustainability Center. “The support of The Carmel Hill Fund will significantly enhance our ability to understand the New York City environment and ultimately reach more children and practices to ensure equitable access to care.”
