Norman Pollock, PhD Research Scientist Norman Pollock, PhD is a Senior Data Scientist for TEAM UP for Children. He also serves as a Senior Data Scientist for the Pediatric Research core team of Boston Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Pollock is a former Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of Georgia Prevention Institute’s Bone and Body Composition Laboratory at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. He has over 13 years of faculty-level experience in clinical and translational research in diet and nutrition interventions in populations with type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and chronic kidney disease. His research utilized a broad range of study types, from randomized controlled trials to feeding studies, cohort studies testing biomarkers, and cross sectional epidemiological studies. His research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and the American Heart Association, and he has served as principal investigator for five clinical trials.
