Join us for our next Special Topic Forum, as attorney Michael Tumposky will bring his legal experience and expertise to help community health centers meet the community's social needs. Individuals with mental health issues are over-represented in the jail and prison population. Community health centers are often tasked with assisting patients through the legal system. Michael Tumposky will share his extensive civil and criminal law experience on "Navigating the Court System."
Michael Tumposky is an attorney with extensive criminal defense trial experience before the Massachusetts Appeals Court, the Supreme Judicial Court, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court, as well as civil trial and appellate level experience in state and federal courts. His experience includes trials in areas ranging from police misconduct and First Amendment violations to employment discrimination and common law torts. In 2009, Michael co-founded the law firm Hedges & Tumposky. In addition to his law practice, he teaches Evidence and Trial Practice at Northeastern University School of Law and serves on the Board of the ACLU of Massachusetts. Michael got his law degree from Northeastern University and his B.A. from Rutgers College.
