Kevin Coughlin is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist with a particular interest in early relational health and early childhood development. He is the medical director of the Neurodevelopmental Disorders Unit, or NDU, at Somerville Hospital at the Cambridge Health Alliance, and an instructor in psychiatry at the Harvard Medical School. The NDU's mission is to provide high quality, evidence-based care to families with youth affected by autism spectrum disorders and other kinds of neurodivergence or neurodisabilities, filling a crucial gap that "treatment as usual" inpatient psychiatry units often fail to meet.
