Special Topic Forum - Specialized Multidisciplinary Inpatient Treatment

Specialized Multidisciplinary Inpatient Treatment for Serious Behavioral Problems in Youth with ASD/IDD

Join us for our next Special Topic Forum with Kevin Coughlin, MD, child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist, Medical Director of the Neurodevelopmental Disorders Unit, Cambridge Health Alliance, and Instructor in Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School. Kevin will share his insights and experience on adolescent specialized multidisciplinary inpatient treatment.

Kevin Coughlin is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist with a particular interest in early relational health and early childhood development.  He is the medical director of the Neurodevelopmental Disorders Unit, or NDU, at Somerville Hospital at the Cambridge Health Alliance, and an instructor in psychiatry at the Harvard Medical School.  The NDU's mission is to provide high quality, evidence-based care to families with youth affected by autism spectrum disorders and other kinds of neurodivergence or neurodisabilities, filling a crucial gap that "treatment as usual" inpatient psychiatry units often fail to meet.
