Barbara Gottlieb, MD, MPH, will bring her wisdom and perspective to offer on longevity and efficacy in the field of community health from her work as an internist as she presents on "Stigma, trust, self-compassion, and gratitude: Reflections and lessons learned during the pandemic years.” Dr. Gottlieb is an esteemed internist with an illustrious career spanning 43 years at the Brookside Community Health Center. Her dedication to healthcare extends beyond her local community. She has played a pivotal role in program development in Boston while spearheading public health and medical education initiatives in Central America, Southeast Asia, and East Africa. As a respected faculty member at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health, Dr. Gottlieb imparts her vast knowledge and expertise to future healthcare professionals. Recognized as a Top Doc by Boston Magazine on 11 occasions, she has earned the trust and admiration of multiple generations of families, providing compassionate care in English and Spanish. Dr. Gottlieb's contributions to medical literature are noteworthy. Moreover, her achievements were recognized when she received the primary care award from the Center for Primary Care at HMS.
