Check out our TEAM UP By the Numbers Document that summarizes all of the work completed by TEAM UP for Children and our 7 partnering community health centers from June 2017 to February 2022.

This was optional training event hosted by TEAM UP designed to discuss racial inequities that exist in mental health diagnosis and treatment. This training was presented by Drs. The Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP) is a national, non-profit organization that works to achieve a racially, economically, and socially just society in which all children and families can thrive. CSSP recently completed an Early Learning Report on the TEAM UP Model and how it has transformed & expanded access to mental health care in urban pediatrics.

Members of the TEAM UP team gave a poster presentation on "Pediatric Provider and Staff Burnout in Community Health Centers" at the 2021 DREAM IPC Conference.

Medical visits are rarely straightforward. Add factors such as poverty, chronic stress, complex medical issues, functional impairment, and barriers to material needs, and caring for one’s well-being becomes exponentially more layered and challenging. A community health worker is a human service worker who supports individuals and families in navigating systems, advocating for their needs, and building relationships that foster social-emotional well-being. As the COVID-19 pandemic wanes with a tangible end in sight, assessing its aftermath is only beginning. In its wake is a plethora of pressing matters, many of which have been amplified by COVID-19. “A big, bright light is now shining on all these inequities that existed prior to COVID,” notes Michelle Durham, MD, MPH, child and adult psychiatrist at Boston Medical Center.
