As part of our commitment to fostering a strong community of integrated behavioral health professionals, TEAM UP is proud to present our monthly Speaker Series. This webinar series is designed to provide a platform for peer support, shared learning, and guidance for therapeutic team members.

Topic: Effectively Incorporating Spirituality into Clinical Practice 

Description: This webinar will explore the incorporation of spirituality into clinical practice. The focus will be on a culturally competent and strengths-based approach to recognizing the significant contribution of spirituality on a patient’s overall wellbeing and how it can result in more wholistic care in the therapy room. Clinicians will also be encouraged to explore their own biases and thoughts related to their own experience or exposure to spirituality and how this impacts the therapeutic relationship. 

About Dr. Moseley: Lovern R. Moseley, PhD is a Licensed Psychologist in the division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine). She is the Site Training Director for the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine Mental Health Counseling Program. Dr. Moseley has worked extensively providing evidence-based treatments across the lifespan with children and adults struggling with emotional and behavioral disorders and those with traumatic exposures. She has been a contributor for several print, radio, and television outlets, including The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, The New York Times, NBC Boston, WCVB NewsCenter 5, The Boston Sunday Review, Vantage Point Radio, and Island Fever Live. 

About the TEAM UP Speaker Series: Produced by the TEAM UP Learning Community, the TEAM UP Speaker Series is a forum where healthcare practitioners, public health policymakers, and other leaders in the field of human service share insights, expertise, and fresh ideas. Taking care of our society’s mental and physical health and wellbeing is demanding and requires all the resources and support available to those providing care. The Speaker Series is at once informative and supportive, creating a space for fellow travelers to learn and grow professionally together each month. Topics reflect current trends and emerging issues in public health, innovations in care delivery, and available programs and services.
